Appointed as Dozent at John Cage Academy, Halberstadt
Contributing to Contemporary Vocal Music Workshops from 2022
Since 2022, I have had the honor of being appointed as a Dozent at the prestigious John Cage Academy in Halberstadt. As part of the academy’s commitment to fostering young talent in contemporary vocal music, I am deeply engaged in mentoring and guiding emerging artists through various workshops and coaching sessions.
The John Cage Academy, hosted by the John Cage Organ Foundation, offers an exceptional platform for students and professionals in the field of new music. The Academy’s workshops focus on solo and ensemble coaching, improvisation, and performance practice, providing participants with a rich and diverse learning environment. In this collaborative setting, I serve as a vocal coach and répétiteur, where I work closely with participants to help them refine their interpretation and performance skills.
Every year, the academy brings together esteemed lecturers and mentors, including renowned names like soprano Sarah Maria Sun, composer Christoph Ogiermann, and singer and audio engineer Gunnar Brandt-Sigurdsson, among others. Together, we create an inspiring atmosphere that supports the next generation of vocal artists. The unique structure of the workshops, housed in the historic Cage House next to Burchardi Church, offers a rare opportunity for participants to explore new vocal techniques and engage deeply with the works of John Cage and other avant-garde composers.
It has been an enriching experience for me to be part of this important project, where contemporary music meets bold experimentation, and where I have the chance to help shape the future of vocal music. My role at the academy allows me to connect with both the academic and practical sides of music, and I look forward to continuing this journey, sharing my knowledge, and learning from the talented individuals I meet every year.

Ernennung zum Dozent an der John Cage Akademie, Halberstadt
Beitrag zu zeitgenössischen Vokalworkshops seit 2022
Seit 2022 habe ich die Ehre, als Dozent an der renommierten John Cage Akademie in Halberstadt berufen zu werden. Im Rahmen des Engagements der Akademie zur Förderung junger Talente in der zeitgenössischen Vokalmusik bin ich intensiv damit beschäftigt, aufstrebende Künstler durch verschiedene Workshops und Coaching-Sitzungen zu betreuen und zu führen.
Die John Cage Akademie, die von der John Cage Orgelstiftung ausgerichtet wird, bietet eine außergewöhnliche Plattform für Studierende und Fachleute im Bereich der neuen Musik. Die Workshops der Akademie konzentrieren sich auf Solo- und Ensemble-Coaching, Improvisation und Aufführungspraxis und bieten den Teilnehmern ein reichhaltiges und vielfältiges Lernumfeld. In diesem kollaborativen Setting fungiere ich als Gesangscoach und Répétiteur, wo ich eng mit den Teilnehmern zusammenarbeite, um ihnen zu helfen, ihre Interpretations- und Aufführungsfähigkeiten zu verfeinern.
Jedes Jahr versammelt die Akademie angesehene Dozenten und Mentoren, darunter namhafte Persönlichkeiten wie die Sopranistin Sarah Maria Sun, den Komponisten Christoph Ogiermann und den Sänger sowie Audioingenieur Gunnar Brandt-Sigurdsson. Gemeinsam schaffen wir eine inspirierende Atmosphäre, die die nächste Generation von Vokalkünstlern unterstützt. Die einzigartige Struktur der Workshops, die im historischen Cage House neben der Burchardi-Kirche untergebracht sind, bietet den Teilnehmern eine seltene Gelegenheit, neue Gesangstechniken zu erkunden und sich intensiv mit den Werken von John Cage und anderen Avantgarde-Komponisten auseinanderzusetzen.
Es war eine bereichernde Erfahrung für mich, Teil dieses wichtigen Projekts zu sein, in dem zeitgenössische Musik auf kühne Experimente trifft und wo ich die Möglichkeit habe, die Zukunft der Vokalmusik mitzugestalten. Meine Rolle an der Akademie ermöglicht es mir, sowohl die akademischen als auch die praktischen Seiten der Musik zu verbinden, und ich freue mich darauf, diese Reise fortzusetzen, mein Wissen zu teilen und von den talentierten Personen zu lernen, die ich jedes Jahr treffe.

저는 2022년부터 독일 할버슈타트의 저명한 존 케이지 아카데미에서 강사로 임명되는 영광을 얻었습니다. 아카데미의 현대 성악 분야에서 젊은 인재들을 양성하는 데 기여하면서, 다양한 워크숍과 코칭 세션을 통해 신진 예술가들을 멘토링하고 지도하는 데 깊이 관여하고 있습니다.
존 케이지 아카데미는 존 케이지 오르간 재단에서 주최하는 기관으로, 새로운 음악 분야의 학생들과 전문가들에게 특별한 플랫폼을 제공합니다. 아카데미의 워크숍은 솔로 및 앙상블 코칭, 즉흥 연주, 연주 실습에 중점을 두며, 참가자들에게 풍부하고 다양한 학습 환경을 제공합니다. 이 협력적인 환경 속에서 저는 성악 코치 및 레페티토어로서 참가자들과 긴밀하게 협력하여 그들의 작품 해석 및 연주 능력을 향상시키는 데 도움을 주고 있습니다.
매년 아카데미는 소프라노 사라 마리아 선, 작곡가 크리스토프 오기어만, 그리고 가수이자 오디오 엔지니어인 구나르 브란트-시구르드손 등 저명한 강사와 멘토들을 초청하여 차세대 성악 예술가들을 지원하는 영감을 주는 분위기를 조성합니다. 역사적인 부르하르디 교회 옆에 위치한 케이지 하우스에서 열리는 워크숍의 독특한 구조는 참가자들이 새로운 성악 기법을 탐구하고 존 케이지 및 기타 아방가르드 작곡가들의 작품을 깊이 있게 접할 수 있는 귀중한 기회를 제공합니다.
현대 음악과 대담한 실험이 만나는 이 중요한 프로젝트의 일원이 될 수 있어 매우 보람을 느끼며, 성악 음악의 미래를 함께 만들어가는 기회를 갖고 있습니다. 아카데미에서의 제 역할은 음악의 학문적 측면과 실용적 측면을 모두 연결해 주며, 매년 만나는 재능 있는 사람들과 지식을 공유하고 배움을 이어가는 이 여정을 계속해 나가고자 합니다.
